Unsettling Discoveries

So, once we paid for the house we were allowed access to actually go inside. Most of you may think we are nuts for purchasing a home house without seeing what's on the inside.....and you would be correct, we are in fact nuts. Here are a few snapshots of our discoveries when we went inside.

So as you can clearly see, it was not a pretty sight....which we were expecting. What we didn't expect to see was the remains of the previous owner's "recreation". See below, and you may have to look closely to see it.
Yes, that's what you think it is.....a dirty syringe/needle!! And sadly, it was one of many that we found. So disturbing. I cringe just thinking about what went on here.....so needless to say, we gutted the entire house and it is going through "rehab" so to speak.

My next post will be a glimpse at the beginning of the rehab.
Have a great week!

Introducing.....4house

So, here goes our first post! Just a little behind on writing about our latest project (about 6 months behind)...but better late than never, right? This project - that we have named 4house - has been quite the undertaking, the biggest undertaking yet I'd say. Back in August we happened upon a house for sale in the downtown Rogers area. It was in disrepair and that's putting it nicely, but we decided to put in a blind offer and see what happened. To our surprise, we had the highest bid and this was the prize.......
So, this is where our journey began. In the next post I will show some juicier pics.....all the nasty interesting things we have come across thus far.

Hope everyone had a great and productive weekend!
